Eavesdrop on a Doctor Quilter Today

mo quilt - detail 3Image by craftapalooza via Flickr

Greetings Quilters,

Yup - today is the day - Sunday, April 26 - when you can
Eavesdrop on a Telephone Conversation with a doctor who
also happens to be a quilter.

Family Practice and Occupational Medicine specialist, Scott
Murkin, will join us beginning at:

5pm Pacific Time
6pm Mountain Time
7pm Central Time
8pm Eastern Time

and 2pm Hawaii Time!

Scott has been quilting since his wife was pregnant with
their first child.

Scott grew up in a quilting family and knew that the baby
needed a quilt, and since his wife didn't quilt, it was up
to him.

And he hasn't stopped.

Scott is primarily an art quilter, but most of his designs
use elements from the traditional quilting world.

His use of vibrant colors make his quilts fun and inspiring.

This is a free call, except for any long distance charges
you phone company might charge.

And you can Eavesdrop and ask a question. After the first
part of the interview is over, the phone lines will be
opened up and you can ask your question.

You'll need to register to get the dial-in information
and the Telephone Worksheet so you can follow along with
the questions.

Eavesdrop on Scott Murkin

There you will also see some of Scott's amazing quilts.

Hear you soon!

Happy Quilting!

WE ARE BOTH WORKING ON QUILTS

Detail, Quilt Garden PlantsImage by Flatbush Gardener via Flickr

Creativity comes to us in so many different ways, sometimes it comes from sadness, grief, and even disability. My creativity is surfacing from my disability and I am tying new things. Two years ago I learned tole painting, before that I learned gardening and created a beautiful garden, this year it is quilting. I have made a video of my first quilting block that I would like to share with everyone. Oh Right, I also learned blogging and now video blogging, photography and have returned to college to complete my degree. I'm one of those people that buys all the books, never reads them, just glances when it is necessary and then I jump right into whatever it is I am doing. Luckily for me, I am surrounded by grateful, loving people who always lend a hand. I have learned so many things from so many friends, and this video
I am sharing from something my friend Carole showed me the other day. We are both working on quilts. I hope you enjoy the video and let me know. Please leave a comments or link to my blog, with your crafting or quilting resources.
Sorry...watch for the video, I'm having trouble uploading it.
