Embroidery Heaven

Detail of Art Needlework embroidery "Flow...Image via Wikipedia

If you embroider, make sure you check out Embroidery Library. I just found a design I have been looking for and I can't wait to get started. It is a canvas beach bag with hummingbird embroidery. I hope my machine is up to it.
Embroidery Library has free designs and, like it says, a library full of designs. If you can't find the design you are looking for go there and look, I bet you will find it or one close enough to suffice.

A Bright Light

Thanks for everything you give, my Dearest:-)..Image by Thai Jasmine via Flickr

Every now and then, (Thank God), I run across someone with the most perfect state of mind for the way of the world, today or any day. I found that today in the form of Sigrid Olsen. I somehow had the foresight to DVR an interview Liz Walker had with MS. Olsen on "Better Living" WCVB.
The two women talked about how Ms. Olsen managed to recover from the loss of a hugely profitable business. I loved every moment of that interview because there was nothing but a positive, forward thinking state of mind. A true blessing these days. It made my day, check it out and maybe it will do the same for you.

Who Would not Want Ty in their Living Room?

Cover of "Good Design Can Change Your Lif...Cover via Amazon

From Publishers Weekly
If you want to inject light, energy, and optimism into your life, making over your home—or even just a single room—is a good place to start, maintains Ty Pennington, the spiky-haired host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and designer of a home goods line for Sears. With that credo in mind, Pennington sets out to help average homeowners redesign their home—and presumably their life—one room at a time. The book focuses on the three high-impact areas of the house: the bedrooms, living spaces and work spaces, and includes lists and special sections such as Balancing a Room with Art and Big Ideas for Small Spaces. The text relies heavily on personal stories and design experiences from the families that have appeared on his show. In the end, Pennington, with his off-the-wall personality, provides a solid and basic design manual. (Sept.)

Official Gmail Blog: New in Labs: Inbox preview

Official Gmail Blog: New in Labs: Inbox preview

This seems like a great idea. when I open my inbox it has accumulated, at lease two or three hundred emails over night. You'd think I was famous by now or something. Nothing makes me prouder than to see those emails (satire) everyday. I like the idea of the preview I think I'll try it, maybe I won't get so lost in "everyone's" new idea for me to get rich.
