A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. "That laundry is not very clean", she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap." Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this..." The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned OUR windows." And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look. | (King James Version) Matthew 7:1-5 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Luke 6:43-49 43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. F19 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. | | | | NEW ALPHABET SERIES BY | FROM THE NEEDLE OF ANNE | To get these 3 letters, go HERE | | | | Get 70-100 top quality designs each month for only $18 monthly subscription! | COME SEE JUNE'S DESIGNS! | | | Customer Projects Corner | CLICK HERE AND ENTER THE DRAWING TO WIN 70+ DESIGNS!!! | | | | | | See Crystal Sunbonnets Set | I used the Crystal Sunbonnets and the digitizer was Ace Point Designs. Depending on the types of designs you are stitching, you may need to change after every design. Even a daily change, if you stitch enough, is called for. Whatever schedule you follow, remember to change your needle! Don't keep the old ones "just in case" you run out. If getting in bulk is beyond your budget right now, try this: Every time you change your needle, put 15 cents into a jar (that's what my needles cost me in bulk). Slowly but surely, those 15-cent additions to your jar will add up, and you'll have enough to get 100 needles to stock up your stash. Once you're stocked up, changing needles doesn't seem so costly! | | | | As a member of the MOC, you get a weekly newsletter email, new samples available to members only, and announcements of discounts and events.
