PIQF is the premier quilt show on the west coast, and you won't want to miss it! Starting Thursday October 15th through Sunday October 18th, this show will feature hundreds of beautiful quilts, including the International Blue Ribbon winners!

We have some local quilters who have quilts juried in the show.

Look for Anne's Serenity Garden by Shelagh Deming. It is a quilt with purple iris on tall stalks. It just won a third place ribbon at the Morgan Hill Harvest Quilt show!

Another local quilter, Joy-Lily's "Help, Hope & Hallelujah!". has been juried into the New Quilts of California subset of PIQF. Her quilt is about the 2008 election: the love, hope and energy that went into getting Obama elected.

And Pernille Gutschick, our own staff member, has two quilts juried into the show!

And I'm sure there are others from our local quilt community who have quilts in the show - if you know of someone, please tell us so we can watch for your quilt too!

Always Quilting will also have a vendor booth, with some fabulous fun new exciting projects and a suprise announcement or two for you!

CRAZY QUILT FRIDAY is the 2nd Friday of the month -
Do you love handwork, embellishments, and more? Join us for this fun monthly event, "Crazy Quilt Friday"! We meet the 2nd Friday of the month from 1:00 to 4:00. The first few minutes are spent on a specific topic - a new stitch, a fun pattern, an easy demo, and then we'll all sit and stitch and work on our blocks. Robin Berry, Region Director for the Embroidery Guild of America will be joining us, and we always have so much fun! Of course, the show and tell is the best! The class is free, and we will have our own "fabric sandbox" that you can play with for $5 - that would be access to different types of fabrics (wools, silks, etc), fun threads, buttons, beads etc. Use what you need, and contribute back when you can. We'll supplement with new things as needed using our $5 sandbox fee. We also have starter kits available with different types of fabrics, threads, and even vintage photos printed on photo transfer paper. We'll also have some fun show and tell and treats too, so please come join us!

STRIP CLUB fun on the 2nd Saturday of the month!
Pernille has a fabulous spring quilt in mind that she will be revealing this month. The strip rolls are already cut, and they are beautiful - just perfect for this great new pattern. Club meetings and classes are the second Saturday of the Month at 10:00 am, so sign up today - only $40 for the year - includes your patterns AND all of your strip club classes at Always Quilting AND a 20% discount on club meeting day!
