Spring Stash Busting!

Well its finally Spring here on the West Coast! We have been enjoying some warmer days, unfortunately the nights are still quite chilly! The blossoming cherry trees are a sight for sore eyes, the daffodils are blooming, the grass is greening up and the sound of lawn mowers has already been heard !

We've had a busy round of quilt shows recently and had a lot of fun sharing our favorite things with everyone at our booth! We are into "stash busting" these days since we all accumulate extra fabric that we don't quite know what to do with but couldn't ever think of getting rid of! It's still usable! We'd love to share our "Ultimate Stash Buster Kit" with everyone who couldn't get to a show.


The first part of the Ultimate Stash Buster Kit is the June Taylor Shape Cut Plus Ruler™  which allows you to cut strips of fabric in a snap! The ruler's versatility is awesome but best of all you can cut 2 1/2" strips for strip quilting or binding so quickly, you feel like you are cheating somehow!

Next we demonstrated how to use the strips you have either cut from your stash (or the jelly rolls that you bought because they were so pretty) to make a very simple but effective block using the Strip Tube Ruler by Cozy Quilt! Everyone was wowed by the results!



We followed up with a demonstration of the Flip Flop Block™, an acrylic template designed by Kathie Alyce of Waterfall Quilts, and a wonderful tool for using up scraps around 7" square or for showcasing special fabrics. There are many patterns available using this one template!
