| | Congratulations.... Congratulations.. to forum member, barbara19, who is the winner of our latest forum challenge: Seed bead challenge We loved this cute draw string bag. Barbara made it by sewing together two embroidered squares using blanket stitch. She tacked beads onto the image and then added more at the bottom in the shape of flowers. artyme, who hosted the challenge said, "I must say that I have been quite surprised at what you ladies have come up with. There were 14 entries and seven were 1st attempts. My mother helped me to figure out whose were the best and we could only wittle it down to the five!" |

| | New Horizons "Since discovering your magazine I have bought it faithfully for the last three months and just recently became a subscriber. It has been a godsend for me and a hobby that I always wanted to be able to devote time to. I am now utterly addicted! I had to resign from my job last July due to ill health and cannot get around very well. I have enclosed some images of cards that I have made to sell. It is very exciting because you can come up with lots of ideas, even using things that you might have otherwise thrown away. I now save everything - ribbon, sweet wrappers and pretty napkins. It's so addictive and pleasurable that my husband is considering converting part of the garage for me to keep all my stash in. What's more, he never moans about it and has in fact become my quality controller!" Deborah Williams, via e-mail |
